The True Meaning Of Repentance

IN MANY churches and denominations, repentance has been redefined in such a way that it sounds so heavy and burdensome. From its original word Metanoia, it simply means "Change of mind". Here's an example: "All your life you believe that God is always out to punish you, but after listening to a Christ-centered sermon, you REPENTED (or changed your mind) and now believe otherwise : that He is actually out to bless you, prosper you, and pour out good things on you.

Take note, repentance has nothing to do with "doing penance" or walking down the aisle on your knees just so God can spare some thought on you. It does not involve any form of act that requires you to bleed before God can listen to your voice.
